Second Generation BMW i8 models are expected to arrive sometime in 2022 or 2023 according to reports. In said report, the Bavarian brand is considering removing the 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol motor mated to an electric motor currently generating 362 horsepower. In the next generation, BMW is planning to drop the petrol unit and adding additional electric motors that are reported to exert a mega 750 horsepower when combined!<\/p>\n
With an output such as that, not only does the power much its looks, but the i8 goes from entry level Porsche 911<\/a> fighter to Tesla Model S rival just like that.<\/p>\n Besides, the monumental\u00a0amounts of power spewing out of the rear end, upcoming i8’s are said to be all-wheel drive to keep the vehicle planted to the ground along with four-wheel steering and an enhanced\u00a0torque vectoring program.<\/p>\n With the additional\u00a0electric motor, battery life is expected to reach 482 km’s on a single charge.
