Volkswagen is on a roll with updates to various models, three have popped up so far including the Polo GTI<\/a>, Passat CC and seven-seater Tiguan. Trailing behind those three is the next-generation Volkswagen Touareg which is scheduled to be unveiled in 2017.<\/p>\n

Oddly enough, Touareg models aren’t wearing as much camo as the other models leading us to believe there isn’t a whole load of new pieces surrounding the exterior. Although there are subtle changes; wing mirrors move ever so slightly, and from the side hints of the Bentley Bentayga<\/a> are visible. Upon further inspection, this model appears smaller than current generation models.<\/p>\n

Underpinnings of the upcoming model are shared with Audi Q7<\/a>, Bentayga and Porsche Cayenne<\/a> and with no known powertrains we can expect many of the petrol, diesel and plug-in motors to power all four wheels. Don’t get too excited and think the Bentayga’s W12 engine to lurk underneath; there is a possibility, though.<\/p>\n

Inside is not officially known, however, much like the\u00a0Polo we’re expecting an enlarged centre console with navigation, Bluetooth and various other media options. A choice of fabric and leather will be on offer to cover all five seats unless there is a secret seven seated version on the way. Plus many other innovative and safety options.<\/p>\n

Volkswagen has yet to spill the beans on when this updated model will hit showrooms and what price tag it will hold.<\/p>\n
