2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 models may appear underpowered when stacked up against the Dodge Challenger Hellcat and the upcoming 2017 Ford Mustang GT500<\/a>. When it comes to hitting 97 km\/h, the Chevy sits on top as only a single gear is required to achieve the feat.<\/p>\n

Although that’s mighty impressive, in order to hit that mark in first, owners of the Camaro will have to have a six-speed manual transmission control the rear wheels instead of the 10-speed automatic gearbox.<\/p>\n

Chevrolet hasn’t released exact numbers and specifications of how fast the 2017 ZL1<\/a> can achieve this feat. Previous models could hit the number in 4 seconds with 580 horsepower\u00a0on tap and an extra 100 kg. With 650, expect that to drop to at least\u00a03.7 seconds.<\/p>\n

Both the Coupe and Convertible models of the ZL1<\/a> are capable of attaining the feat. Coupe prices start at $62,135 or AED 228,200 and for the convertible $69,135 or AED\u00a0254,000 and are destined for showrooms later this year or early next year.<\/p>\n

The American brand has also admitted that the 10-speed auto\u00a0transmission will be just as impressive but as it’s automatically controlled, it won’t be beating the manual off the line.<\/p>\n
