It’s not just one model of the M8 we’ll get. BMW are looking at bringing at least\u00a0three variants of the sophisticated machines to dealerships in the near future. This\u00a0includes a coupe, convertible and Gran Coupe.<\/p>\n
We expect the M8 family resurrection to roll out in 2020 and will serve as a successor to the current 6-Series.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival, top tier models will hide a 4-liter twin turbocharged V8 underneath the bonnet powering the rear wheels. Expected to be rated at 600 horsepower, the M8 is destined to battle the Mercedes-Benz S63 and S65.<\/p>\n
And that’s about all we know of the range-topping vehicle. BMW have kept a tight lip on what’s to come even in terms of what the car will look like.<\/p>\n
But that doesn’t stop us from compiling a list of what to expect. High-end safety\u00a0features including smart cruise control, pedestrian detection, emergency front braking and so on.<\/p>\n
Then there are the comfort features. Top of the range infotainment system with navigation and Bluetooth pairing, state of the art bespoke leather seats and we can’t discount the thought of autonomous technology being implemented.<\/p>\n
BMW’s M8 isn’t technically a new thing as the German brand came up with the idea way back in the early 90’s. Hidden away from the general public until 2010, BMW bolted a V12 into its engine bay mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.<\/p>\n
