By now you’ve heard of McLaren’s new super series\u00a0involving\u00a0the breathtaking 720S. With the supercar officially\u00a0unveiled and MSO<\/a> working on a hotter version of it, McLaren is reportedly working\u00a0on a 720S Long Tail.<\/p>\n

After the success of the 675LT, it’s a no-brainer\u00a0McLaren would launch a 720S Long Tail somewhere along the production line. What does this mean for the 720S?<\/p>\n

You’ll see all of the eye-catching bodywork remain,\u00a0however, the rear end will be slightly\u00a0modified hence the Long Tail moniker. Regarding power outputs, regular 720S models pump out 710 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque. A slight increase wouldn’t come as a surprise for the Long Tail version.<\/p>\n

It won’t be easy for the British manufacturer\u00a0as they’ll have to fight off the Lamborghini Huracan Performante,\u00a0Ford GT and a hardcore version of the Ferrari 488 that the Italians\u00a0have hidden behind closed doors.<\/p>\n

McLaren has yet to announce when exactly\u00a0we’ll see the 720S Long Tail uncloaked. Don’t expect it anytime soon either as the brand wants to give the standard model enough breathing room before the model debuts.<\/p>\n

But wait, there’s more to roll out of the factory. On top of the 720S Long Tail, McLaren is seriously considering a hardcore version of the 570S. While details remain\u00a0scarce of the project, you can expect the vehicle to be lighter, faster and more powerful than ‘base’ models.<\/p>\n
