It’s finally here! The new Audi R8 Spyder Plus launches\u00a0later this summer in Europe with other markets to follow shortly, and Audi promises, this is the most powerful version of the drop-top\u00a0supercar to date.<\/p>\n
Powering all four corners is a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 mated to a 7-speed dual clutch\u00a0transmission. Rated at 601 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque, don’t expect your hair to be straight when you get out.<\/p>\n
Weighing in 33 kilos less than the previous model, Audi R8 Spyder Plus cars accelerate\u00a0to 100 km\/h in just 3.3 seconds before\u00a0maxing out at 328 km\/h.<\/p>\n
Audi R8 Spyder Plus convertibles can be had in 11 paint finishes including the exclusive\u00a0micrommata\u00a0green shade you see in the pictures, three shades for the convertible roof, carbon or titanium black highlights for both the exterior and interior, five colours for the iconic side blades and numerous upholstery tones and materials can be customised for the interior.<\/p>\n
As Plus models sit atop the R8 range, drivers are treated to ceramic brakes hiding\u00a0behind 19 or 20-inch alloys, Audi Drive Select, 12.3-inch infotainment system with Audi’s signature Virtual\u00a0Cockpit, sport bucket seats, black exhaust\u00a0tip covers and eye-catching\u00a0features.<\/p>\n
In Europe, Audi R8 Spyder Plus models start from $232,450 or AED 853,789. It’s unconfirmed when the model will launch in the GCC. We expect\u00a0it to arrive later this year or early 2018 and will most likely\u00a0cost more than its closed roof counterpart.<\/p>\n
