After months of speculation, we&#8217;ve learnt we&#8217;ll finally catch a glimpse of the Cabrio.<\/p>\n<p>Many speculated the i8 Roadster to make its grand debut on home soil in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Instead, the long anticipated\u00a0convertible will make its global debut two months later at the LA Motor Show in November.<\/p>\n<p>BMW won&#8217;t be empty handed during the event as reports suggest their latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubicars.com\/news\/bmw-x7-spotted.html\">X7<\/a> SUV concept will be on show\u00a0along with other select BMW models.<\/p>\n<p>Sales of the BMW i8 Roadster are set to start early 2018 for an undisclosed price. We can guarantee it will cost slightly\u00a0more than its closed top counterpart.<\/p>\n<p>As it stands, the drop top version will continue to use a 1.5-litre three cylinder motor coupled to an electric motor. With slight tinkering on the horizon and a larger battery, expect a modest increase in horsepower and full-electric driving range.<\/p>\n<p>BMW appears to have long term plans for their electric sports car as a full redesign is scheduled for 2022.
