As it appears, GM is putting the nameplate back into production starting next year.<\/p>\n<p>Chevy officials are keeping a tight lip on next year&#8217;s model; however, documents have surfaced claiming the Chevrolet Blazer will utilise\u00a0an identical\u00a0platform to current GMC Acadia models.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing identical underpinnings, similar engines should be available. This would include the entry-level 2.5-litre four cylinder petrol engine rated at 193 horsepower. For an additional\u00a0kick, a 3.5-litre V6 offers 310 horsepower.<\/p>\n<p>Next year&#8217;s Blazer engines should be mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox driving a single axle or all-four wheels.<\/p>\n<p>Documents did reveal the potential\u00a0of a third-row model. Although it may be a tight squeeze for adults, children\u00a0would have ample room to move around.<\/p>\n<p>The additional row would give Blazer models a one up compared to rivals most notably Ford&#8217;s Edge and Nissan&#8217;s Murano as both do not offer a thrid-row bench. Honda is also said to be working on a crossover that will develop into another rival to the Blazer.<\/p>\n<p>Chevrolet Blazer SUV&#8217;s will go on sale later next year as a 2019\u00a0model. As of writing, no price tag has been announced.<\/p>\n<h3>Chevrolet Blazer spy shots<\/h3>\n<p>Spy photographers have caught a glimpse of the model although it&#8217;s decked out in heavy camouflage.
