Nissan is getting set to introduce the 2018\u00a0Armada in select markets and with it a new piece of technology to sweeten the deal. While we say it is new, it is for Nissan as we have seen it before on the 2016\u00a0Cadillac CT6.<\/p>\n
This technology incorporates a high-definition wide-angle LCD with the traditional rear view mirror. Once turned on, a rear-facing camera integrated into the tail gate feeds live video straight to the mirror providing a clearer view of whats behind.<\/p>\n
A\u00a0useful addition if tall passengers are present or large cargo is obstructing the view. Drivers can easily switch between a live camera feed and a conventional\u00a0mirror with a simple press of a button.<\/p>\n
According to Nissan, the system also improvises visibility in low-light conditions or when glare is detected.<\/p>\n
Intelligent Rearview Mirror or I-RVM will be standard on Platinum trim levels.<\/p>\n
Nissan’s 2018 Armada will not be sold officially in the UAE and GCC countries as it is essentially a rebadged Nissan Patrol with some additional\u00a0body cladding. Oddly enough, the V8 5.6-litre pushes out 10 less horsepower than the Patrol but is able to tow up to\u00a03856 kilos.<\/p>\n
