If you haven’t heard yet, Mercedes are currently working on a four-door sports car based on the AMG GT.\u00a0Presently referred to as the AMG GT4, the German brand has yet to reveal when exactly we’ll see it in full production trim.<\/p>\n
However, recent spy shots of the model appear almost production ready and we must admit the green flames on black looks fantastic.<\/p>\n
We’re still waiting on Mercedes to confirm a powertrain for the four-door sports car. Select sources in the automotive world indicate a 4.0-litre BiTurbo V8 petrol engine is the most likely\u00a0candidate. In the hands of the E63 S, that motor produces a desirable 603 horsepower. A hybrid version is also said to be on the table and was also present when Mercedes previewed the AMG GT4. With a claimed 800 hp racing through its veins, Mercedes are taking the luxury four-door sports car fight straight\u00a0to the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and its 671 horses.<\/p>\n
