Did you know its been almost 50 years since Land Rover built a two-door SUV? Way back in the 70’s was the last time we saw one roll off the production line and we\u00a0haven’t seen one since. That was until last week’s Geneva Motor Show as the world witnessed Range Rover pull the wraps off the SV Coupe.<\/p>\n
Continuing the powerful road presence tradition the SV Coupe benefits from the blacked out pillars, floating roof, frameless glass doors, side vents and front grille design and a panoramic sunroof. Additionally, the two-door SUV\u00a0can be fitted with 23-inch alloys and is the only Range-Rover to date to have this option.<\/p>\n
As with any Range Rover, nothing short of luxury can be found inside as the entire cabin is lined with premium leather, metallic accents and luxurious trim. Instead of the standard second-row consisting of three seats, two individual seats are separated\u00a0by an elongated\u00a0centre console. While rear headroom may look a bit small, rear passengers have their own climate control and air vents.<\/p>\n
Power comes courtesy\u00a0of a Supercharged 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine rated at\u00a0557 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque driving each corner the SV Coupe launches from 0-100 km\/h in just over five seconds before hitting a top speed of 266 kph making the two-door SUV the faster full-size Range Range available.<\/p>\n
Range Rover plans to build only 999 examples with each one being hand-assembled at the SVO Technical Centre in Warwickshire, England. Prices in the UK start at\u00a0\u00a3240,000 or AED\u00a01.2 million.<\/p>\n
