{"id":25664,"date":"2018-04-22T17:37:21","date_gmt":"2018-04-22T13:37:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dubicars.com\/news\/?p=25664"},"modified":"2018-04-23T10:31:11","modified_gmt":"2018-04-23T06:31:11","slug":"devel-sixteen-takes-streets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dubicars.com\/news\/devel-sixteen-takes-streets.html","title":{"rendered":"Devel Sixteen takes to the streets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Making its global debut back in 2013 with an eye-watering 5,000 horsepower, many in the automotive world thought of the Devel Sixteen as a pipe dream and that it would never see the light of day.<\/p>\n<p>However, last year, those who thought the project would never\u00a0come to fruition were left in awe as a production-spec\u00a0version of the hypercar was shown off at the Dubai International Motor Show<\/p>\n<p>To further back the claim that one day we&#8217;ll see the model on the streets, this past week, a video of a prototype has surfaced online of the Devel Sixteen accelerating on an empty strip of road near the UAE Desert.<\/p>\n<div class=\"videoframe\">\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yvyVnnS0TD4\" width=\"740\" height=\"411\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>Albeit the video is only six seconds long, a white and blue Devel Sixteen is seen accelerating into the distance, and according to the video description, the model is only using 20% of its throttle. If that is the case, we can&#8217;t wait to see how it performs with 100%.<\/p>\n<h3>What Devel Sixteen is best for you?<\/h3>\n<p>The UAE based hypercar will be offered in three unique guises. The &#8216;<em>base<\/em>&#8216; model will produce 2,000 horsepower thanks to a twin-turbo V8, a 3,000 hp variant, and last but certainly\u00a0not least, topping the range will be a 12.3-litre V16 rated at a whopping 5,000 hp.<\/p>\n<p>The most powerful version of the Devel Sixteen will be a track only car.<\/p>\n<p>As of writing, only the 2,000 hp model has been given a price tag which is set at a cool $1.6 Million or AED\u00a05.87 Million.<\/p>\n<p>We don&#8217;t have any Devel Sixteen\u00a0models listed for sale right now, but we do have plenty of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubicars.com\/dubai\/new\" target=\"_blank\">new<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubicars.com\/dubai\/used\" target=\"_blank\">used cars for sale in Dubai<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubicars.com\/sharjah\/used\" target=\"_blank\">Sharjah<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubicars.com\/abu-dhabi\/used\" target=\"_blank\">Abu Dhabi<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubicars.com\/ajman\/used\" target=\"_blank\">Ajman<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Making its global debut back in 2013 with an eye-watering 5,000 horsepower, many in the automotive world thought of the Devel Sixteen as a pipe dream and that it would never see the light of day.
