Ford has enhanced the Raptor for the new model year but don’t expect any striking visual updates as the 2019 Ford Raptor gets a wide range of technology.<\/p>\n
Joining forces with FOX, the two brands have come up with a set of shocks that feature electronically-controlled Live Valve technology. These new and improved system adjusts itself in real-time by using a collection of sensors found in the body and suspension to maximise comfort and handling.<\/p>\n
Th system is paired with the 2019 Ford Raptor’s Terrain Mangement System which allows the pickup to traverse harsh terrain at high speed. But that’s not the best part; the new system can also detect if the vehicle is in the air! “Not many trucks need sensors to detect when you are in midair. Raptor sets the dampers to full stiffness to help smooth shock performance as the truck lands,” said Hermann Salenbauch, Ford Performance vehicle programs director.<\/p>\n
While the previously mentioned equipment is impressive, the 2019 Raptor receives a new Trail Control. Similar to cruise control, the system adjusts power and braking sent to each wheel when travelling over rough terrain at low speed which allows drivers to focus their attention on steering. The system can be activated at speeds of up to 32 km\/h.<\/p>\n
The 2019 Ford Raptor is also fitted with upgraded sports seats made by Recaro to keep the driver and front passenger firmly in place, they provide side support and are complemented with blue Alcantara inserts and contrast stitching, all of which is inspired by the Ford GT.<\/p>\n
The 2019 Ford Raptor should arrive in the UAE and other GCC countries next year. Ford will reportedly offer three new colours for 2019, these include Ford Performance Blue, Agate Black and Velocity Blue.<\/p>\n
