Set to replace the mighty Vanquish, the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera proudly wears distinct bodywork with subtle references to current Aston Martin models complete with smooth lines and an enlarged front grille.<\/p>\n
Comprised almost entirely\u00a0from carbon fibre, overall weight has been cut down by an estimated 72 kgs for a total of around 1,700 kgs.<\/p>\n
According to sources, the suspension is said to sit lower with active dampers, larger carbon-ceramic brakes, and more; all of which contribute to vehicles performance.<\/p>\n
Underneath the bonnet is said to be a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 petrol engine producing 715 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. Rear-wheel drive is the norm with power being channelled to the rear axle via a slightly\u00a0tuned eight-speed automatic gearbox borrowed from the DB11.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, select outlets are claiming the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera launches from standstill to 100 km\/h in 3.5 seconds.<\/p>\n
