Arriving later this year, the slightly\u00a0revised GT86 will benefit from LED lighting units, 17-inch alloys and a 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system. It will also be joined by the\u00a02019 Toyota GT86 TRD Special Edition.<\/p>\n
In Toyota’s own words, this is an “ultimate performance” model, and the vehicle has been fitted with a few new components\u00a0including SACHS dampers to\u00a0sharpen the 86’s handling and stability plus a new set of Brembo brakes.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the\u00a02019 Toyota GT86 TRD Special Edition is fitted with a bespoke set of 18-inch alloys wrapped in premium Michelin Pilot Sport 4 rubber.<\/p>\n
On top of the performance upgrades, the GT86 is fitted with a\u00a0TRD body kit complete with new bumpers, revised side skirts, larger rear spoiler and rear diffuser. Black or Raven Black is the only colour choice available and with the exterior finished with a tri-colour body stripe and a TRD exhaust system.<\/p>\n
Inside, the 2019 Toyota GT86 TRD Special Edition has a two-tone black and red steering wheel with matching sport seats. Red contrast stitching, red seatbelts and a special TRD logo on the passenger side complete the package.<\/p>\n
Power comes from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder boxer engine identical to the standard version. Available with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox, 205 horsepower is sent to the rear wheels.<\/p>\n
Production of the\u00a02019 Toyota GT86 TRD Special Edition will be limited to 1,418 units with prices starting at $32,420 or AED\u00a0119,084. GCC availability is not yet known.<\/p>\n
