Revealed a few months ago with a range of additional\u00a0features and technologies to ensure the 2019\u00a0Raptor can hold its own off the tarmac, Ford has announced another new feature the 2019\u00a0variant will receive; off-road cruise control.<\/p>\n
One of the key highlights of the desert hungry Raptor is the Trail Control system and according\u00a0to Ford, “it’s like cruise control for off-road driving.” The system can be engaged at speeds between 1.6 and 32.2 km\/h and can be used in all 4×4 modes.<\/p>\n
The new feature takes control of throttle\u00a0and braking for the drivers and leaves them with just the steering to control. The system will also aid drivers in overcoming steep\u00a0obstacles as the system automatically sends\u00a0torque to each wheel independently, then braking on the opposite side, and it doesn’t stop there.<\/p>\n
2019 Raptor pickup’s with trail control equipped can also use the\u00a0feature to get themselves out of a sticky situation or extreme sands.<\/p>\n
