Revealed last year<\/a>, the heavy camo has been lifted from the 2019 Mercedes AMG A35 and along with the release comes a long list of information\u00a0about the latest hot hatch.<\/p>\n

Following in the footsteps of the potent A45, the latest A-Class benefits from a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine rated at 301 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. As standard, drivers will find a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.<\/p>\n

Ready to do battle with familiar\u00a0hot hatch models including the VW Golf R and Audi S3, the 2019 Mercedes AMG A35 accelerates from 0-100 km\/h in 4.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 250 km\/h.<\/p>\n

As the hatchback is part of the AMG lineup, the chassis has been finely tuned and comes with a range of features. Things like AMG Ride Control adaptive suspension is present as are larger brakes with four-piston callipers, additional\u00a0braces to support the suspension and steering and\u00a0speed-sensitive electro-mechanical steering.<\/p>\n

Drivers have a choice of five drive modes to choose from. While they may seem familiar, a new mode has been added. ‘Slippery’ mode adjusts the vehicle for low-grip conditions and offers smoother gear changes.<\/p>\n

Two unique packages are available for the 2019 Mercedes AMG A35. The AMG Track Pace data logger adds over 80 parameters to monitor\u00a0via the MBUX\u00a0system.<\/p>\n

The other package Mercedes are offering is the AMG Aerodynamics Package which adds a more aggressive\u00a0aero kit that has been developed\u00a0not just for show but to improve handling at high speeds.<\/p>\n
