Launched in 2008, love it or hate it the Kia Soul is here to stay. Now in its third generation, the 2020\u00a0Kia Soul receives a nip and tuck, a wide range of new\u00a0features and new trim levels.<\/p>\n
While it retains the boxy shape, new slim lights flank either side of the front end sitting just above a secondary set of lights. Moving further back, the Soul features a trendy blacked-out C-pillar which gives the impression of a floating roof. Around the back, the rear lights have been reshaped.<\/p>\n
If you’re looking for something a little\u00a0extra, Kia offers two trim lines; GT-Line which adds sportier styling cues or X-Line which provides a rugged look.<\/p>\n
Inside, the cabin is filled with a range of new features including a 10.25-inch touch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Scattered around the interior of 10 speakers provided by Harmon Kardon. There is also an 8-inch heads-up display and a mood lighting system.<\/p>\n
Kia is said to offer two petrol engines which include a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol unit rated at 147 horsepower and 179 Nm of torque. The second offering is a smaller 1.6-litre unit with a turbocharger delivering 201 hp and 264 Nm of torque.<\/p>\n
A six-speed manual is standard on the naturally aspirated unit but can be exchanged for a CVT. The turbo unit only comes with a seven-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.<\/p>\n
Once again, a\u00a0fully electric version will also be available. Instead of a combustion engine, a modern liquid-cooled Lithium-ion polymer 64 kWh battery drives the vehicle. Kia hasn’t revealed much about the EV version in regards to power, charge time or range. It does come with a Combined Charging System (CCS) DC fast-charge.<\/p>\n
The 2020\u00a0Kia Soul is said to launch in the US during the first half of 2019. Sources indicate that the 2020\u00a0Soul will arrive in the UAE and GCC by mid 2019. Only one engine choice will be available\u00a0for GCC countries which is the base engine connected to an automatic transmission.<\/p>\n
