Scheduled\u00a0to be officially revealed\u00a0later today, select details and pictures of the 2020\u00a0Mercedes CLA have already surfaced giving us an early look.<\/p>\n
Instead of radically overhauling the model, Mercedes has morphed the new CLA into a mini CLS. Now with a longer profile and an extended wheelbase, the 2020\u00a0CLA is 48mm longer, 53mm wider and 2mm lower compared to the current model.<\/p>\n
Thanks to the larger dimensions, rear passenger space improves allowing those sitting in the rear to stretch out a bit more.<\/p>\n
The interior is a huge leap forward and is identical to that of the new A-Class<\/a>\u00a0and includes the dual-screen MBUX infotainment system.<\/p>\n Not only does the 2020\u00a0Mercedes CLA look smarter, but it also gains a range of intelligent driver assistance\u00a0features. These include lane-keeping assist, adaptive\u00a0cruise control and emergency\u00a0braking.<\/p>\n More information regarding the 2020 Mercedes CLA will most likely be revealed later today.<\/p>\n With that said, the CLA 250 will take centre stage at CES 2019. Power comes courtesy of a 2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder\u00a0engine rated at 221 horsepower and 349 Nm of torque.\u00a0Other powertrains will\u00a0be revealed at a later stage, presumably later this evening.<\/p>\n The engines will be connected to either an automatic or manual gearbox in front- and all-wheel drive platforms.
