Porsche unveiled<\/a> the brand new 911 two months ago, but there was no convertible insight. That’s all changed as the German brand\u00a0has officially\u00a0revealed the new 911 Cabriolet.<\/p>\n

Featuring an automatic soft top roof with magnesium bows, the roof also has an integrated\u00a0glass rear window.<\/p>\n

With that said, the roof can be opened or closed faster compared to the current model thanks to new hydraulics. At up to speeds of 50 km\/h, the roof takes just 12 seconds to be opened or closed. When it’s tucked away behind the seats, a wind deflector pops up to ensure maximum comfort.<\/p>\n

At launch, the 911 Cabriolet\u00a0will ship with a twin-turbo 3.0-litre flat-six engine rated at 443 horsepower and 530 Nm of torque. Connected to a new eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the Cabrio\u00a0sprints from 0-100 km\/h in 3.7 seconds, before maxing out at 306 km\/h.<\/p>\n

In all-wheel-drive trim, 100 km\/h is achieved\u00a0in 3.6 seconds, but top speed falls to 304 km\/h.<\/p>\n

On the topic of performance, the Porsche promises the new 911 Cabriolet will be a better driver’s car as the vehicle has more torsional\u00a0rigidity compared to the outgoing model. Plus it can be equipped with the Porsche Active Suspension Management system.<\/p>\n

Exterior wise, the 911 Cabriolet is identical to the revised coupe unveiled earlier this year complete with larger rear spoiler and full rear light bar. Each corner features eye-catching wheels with 20-inches up front and 21-inches on the rear axle.<\/p>\n

Familiar styling cues continue in the cabin as drivers will find a combination of analogue and digital instruments as well as a sizeable 10.9-inch infotainment system. The only difference between the cabriolet and coupe models is the button to open or close the roof.<\/p>\n

The 2020 Porsche 911 Cabriolet will launch later this year in select markets and should arrive GCC markets before the end of the year. It will be available at launch in two guises, Carrera S Cabriolet and 4S.<\/p>\n
