You can not use the Dubai Police Website to initiate a request. If you need more help, you can call the Dubai Police Customer Service hotline (901).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click the first option, and you&#8217;ll be taken to the Applicant Detail screen. You&#8217;ll need the flowing documents handy;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Emirates ID (must be valid)<\/li><li>Email address <\/li><li>Vehicle plate number <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The same screen will also ask you what colour you want to change the colour of your car to. You can choose up to two new colours &#8211; one for a single colour, two for a dual-tone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the list of colours you can select. They appear in order as they do in the app;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Silver Alloy <\/li><li>White<\/li><li>Gray (Translated from Arabic is graphite colour)<\/li><li>Black<\/li><li>Red<\/li><li>Orange<\/li><li>Yellow <\/li><li>Green <\/li><li>Blue<\/li><li>Milky (Translated from Arabic is off-white colour)<\/li><li>Gray (Translated from Arabic is ash colour)<\/li><li>Silver<\/li><li>Golden <\/li><li>Brown<\/li><li>Violet <\/li><li>Zuhri (Translated from Arabic is pink colour)<\/li><li>Beige<\/li><li>Maroon <\/li><li>Pearly (Translated from Arabic is Pearlescent White)<\/li><li>Poster (For stickers)<\/li><li>Unclear <\/li><li>Black carbon <\/li><li>Trade name (for company branding)<\/li><li>Bronze<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You will also need five pictures of your vehicle in the following order &#8211; Front, back, left side, right side and a full picture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To file the request, you&#8217;ll have to pay AED 120.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that it is possible to visit the police station with the right documents, but it is easier to use the application to apply for a clearance letter from Dubai Police. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve got the approval, you can now go change the colour of the vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the vehicle colour has been changed, you while have to proceed to the nearest Tasjeel facility. Al Barsha is recommended as it has both a testing facility, Customer Happiness Centre and Dubai Police Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s what you need to do to apply and register the changed vehicle colour with the RTA<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Vehicle ownership certificate (registration card\/mulkiya)<\/li><li>Vehicle technical inspection certificate (received from Tasjeel)<\/li><li>NOC from CID of the Dubai Police<\/li><li>Original Emirates ID (must be valid)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This request can not be done online. Before you change the colour of the vehicle, you will have to seek prior approval from the Authorities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, you&#8217;ll need to drive to the nearest Salama centre and speak to the supervisor. Here they will give you a permission certificate to change the colour of your car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the permission certificate is obtained, you can now change the colour of the vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Documents required;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Emirates ID (must be valid)<\/li><li>Registration card (mulkiya)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that if a vehicle has had an accident, the permission will be automatically rejected without a valid SAAD\/ Police report. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Permission will not be given to anyone but the owner of the vehicle in Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will cost AED 40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the vehicle colour has been changed, you&#8217;ll need to apply for new registration for your car. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Head back to a Salama branch and speak to the supervisor once again. They will inspect the vehicle. Once they approve a &#8216;colour test&#8217; certificate will be issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After obtaining the certificate, head to the Police counter to get a new registration card.
