Rumour mills appear in every industry, whether it’s movies, video games or businesses even the motor industry gets dragged into these speculations. Back in 2014, Jeep patented the name “Trackhawk” for the American manufacturer and this is where it all started. As of Detroit Motor Show, Cheif Executive of Jeep, Mike Manley confirmed that Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat’s are indeed coming in the near future.<\/p>\n

For those of you unsure of what a Hellcat is, it’s an engine built by Chrysler. With a 6.2-litre displacement, a powerful supercharger attached for extra kick, it packs quite a serious punch. Named after Grumann F6F Hellcat fighter planes, first implemented in 2015 Dodge Challenger coupe’s and transitioned their way into Dodge Charger sedan’s, making both of them one of the quickest vehicles in their respected market.<\/p>\n

No official pictures have been released just yet, seeing as the SRT looks pretty aggressive not to mention quick already it won’t be a long shot to say it will look quite similar with a couple of cutaways in the body work for extra cooling, flared wheel arches, larger rear spoiler, front splitter and unique badging.<\/p>\n

\"Jeep<\/a>Colour options weren’t mentioned either, seeing as Challenger’s and Charger’s come in beautiful shades of B5 Blue, Sublime Metallic, TorRed and Pitch Black amongst many other choices. Contrasting or matching interior colours with cloth or leather seats. Green seats seem a bit farfetched though.<\/p>\n

Inside, expect similar features to top of the range Jeep Grand Cherokee’s: navigation, cooled seats, rear entertainment system, media inputs, Bluetooth Paring and many more options to keep all inside entertainment if they are not entertained by 707 horsepower.<\/p>\n

When launched, it will be on seriously powerful SUV to take on Range Rover’s Sport SVR, BMW’s X5M and Porsche’s Cayenne GTS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

These specs are unconfirmed for the Grand Cherokee, however seeing it stack up side by side with Land Rover’s and BMW’s finest SUV’s, it blows both of them out of the water!<\/p>\n

It’s unknown if the vehicle will maintain the Hellcat badge or Trackhawk name. Jeep is really making headlines already this year, the American brand celebrates 75 years in 2016 and are finally bringing a much anticipated two-door pick-up version of the infamous Wrangler.<\/p>\n

As the Hellcat engine is being dropped into other Dodge family vehicles, could a Hellcat Chrysler, Wrangler or a brand new sports car take over from the departing Dodge Viper? It’s too early tell. Let the rumour mill churn some more.<\/p>\n

2018 Jeep Cherokee Hellcats will start rolling into showroom later next year as they not only confirmed it a the show but to official dealers in the US back in August 2015.
