Everyone has heard of the self-titled\u00a0trio of hypercars, consisting of the luscious Ferrari La Ferrari, Mclaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder. Come Geneva in just a few weeks time, there may be a fourth (or fifth<\/a>) vehicle to choose from with an insane amount of horsepower and a body to die for.<\/p>\n

Ever heard of Arash Automotive Company? Nope, they popped up in 2010 at the Swiss Motor Show with their supercar. Built to rival the Ferrari 458 and Mclaren P1 with its massive 7.0-litre V8 petrol motor. But that was then, this is now, as the relatively new company is setting their sights on taking on the big three!<\/p>\n

Arash AF10 is what’s going to compete alongside. Pumping out over 2,000 horsepower! 900 of which comes from a 7.0-litre V8 petrol engine and the rest coming from four, yes four electric motors. 1,180 hp alone is generated, with two on each axle. Torque specs are also through the roof with 1,201 Nm and 1,080 Nm of torque. That’s absolutely bonkers!<\/p>\n

AF10 doesn’t just the have to power to make you drool, it’s got the looks to match. With race car looks, this is one seriously good-looking vehicle.<\/p>\n

All that power is sent to the rear wheels only. Either via a six-speed manual or six-speed auto manual with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. 0-100 km\/h is estimated at 2.8 seconds which is on par with Porsche, a top speed well over the 300 km\/h mark. Running on 19\/20-inch performance tyres on each corner, it’s said to run on petrol or electric power alone, however, how far it can travel was not mentioned.<\/p>\n

Constructed from lightweight material’s such as carbon fibre and aluminium, this hypercar uses similar technology found in Toyota Prius’s<\/a>. Braking enables kinetic energy and stores to be used for later on. More like a Formula One car than a Prius really.<\/p>\n

Interested in owning one? Arash Motor Company is currently taking pre-orders with prices starting at $1,584,500 (approx. AED\u00a05,819,789), and for a small fee above that you can get yourself a lighter, purpose built race car version. Start writing those checks! If that’s a bit too much, a 550 horsepower\u00a0version is available for $350,000 (approx. AED\u00a01,285,532)<\/p>\n

Looks like the Bugatti Chiron<\/a> may look a bit underpowered compared to the AF10.<\/p>\n

In other blistering quick car news, Apollo (previously known as Gumpert), have released a teaser image of what they are bringing to Geneva. Just one picture is all we got. Boasting similar characteristic’s to previous models, we can assume those are carbon ceramic brake discs behind performance Michelin\u00a0rubber. Apollo are aiming to rival the mighty Chiron, claiming ApolloN\u00a0is more powerful, we’ll just have to wait and see.<\/p>\n
