New York may be filled with various\u00a0luxury vehicles and immensely powerful ones that will rip your face off if you just look at them the wrong way, there are however much smaller and affordable cars on offer so everyone can join in.<\/p>\n

Making its worldwide debut\u00a0alongside the mighty 740 horsepower Camaro<\/a>, it’ll no doubt look minuscule in stature and power, but it’s what is on the inside that matters. 2017 Chevrolet Sonic models feature Apple Carplay and Android Auto, both a market first for the compact segment.<\/p>\n

Not enough to rope you in? The golden bowtie is even offering mobile 4G\/wi-fi hotspot as an optional extra, keyless entry and remote engine start are on the list too. MyLink descends upon the seven-inch display mounted centrally.<\/p>\n

If you thought Chevy only turned their attention to the interior to sweeten the deal, numerous safety features are present too. The reverse camera is standard throughout the range, then\u00a0for those wanting front collision detection, lane departure assist, Rear Park Assist and electronic stability assist are on offer for a little bit extra.<\/p>\n

Amongst all the new gadgetry, is an entirely new look to jazz it up especially up front. We can even detect some minor hints of the Camaro. Gone are the four round headlights from the last generation, instead are single units attached either side, lined with signature LED lighting.<\/p>\n

2017 Chevy Sonic models come with three engine\u00a0options essentially, however, only on of those makes its way into our market. That one option we have is a 1.6-litre four cylinder petrol motor coupled with a six-speed automatic gearbox. For those interested, other regions receive\u00a01.8-litre naturally aspirated, and a 1.4-litre turbocharged with options to have either six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.<\/p>\n

Three rim sizes can be slapped on each corner, ranging for 15, 16 and 17-inches wth three new designs to choose from. Four brand new colours are on offer too, including\u00a0Brimstone, Cajun Red Tintcoat, Orange Burst Metallic and Artic Blue Metallic.<\/p>\n

Sales are expected to start in late 2016, with both hatchback and sedan models on offer with various trims starting with LS, LT, RS and Premier trims.<\/p>\n
