For some time more and more drivers have been gobbling up street legal race inspired\u00a0vehicles from various manufacturers. For those of us on the other end of the spectrum here’s what you need to know.<\/p>\n

Following the success of the GT12, Aston Martin is putting together another luscious unit this time with a smaller engine and similar good looks. Not much is known about this model just yet; it’s expected to be unleashed in the coming weeks. All we know is that the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is shoulder checking it’s blind spots right now.<\/p>\n

So far only a single teaser image has been shown off, and from it, noticeable styling cues from its more potent compatriot are clearly visible. It’s said to be the lightest V8 Vantage to date, thanks to all the carbon fibre used for the body.<\/p>\n

It may be a street legal race car,\u00a0but that doesn’t mean it has a stripped out interior. Navigation, Bluetooth pairing and all other creature comforts are inside along with some racing aspects such as the bucket seats and lightweight material. If it is to follow the GT12 exactly, a roll cage is fitted inside as well.<\/p>\n

Continuing in the GT12’s footsteps which utilises an updated twelve-cylinder engine extracted from the V12 Vantage, expect the same V8 petrol found in standard V8 Vantage except with some fine tuning to create a more potent version to accelerate from 0-100 km\/h in less than 4.7 seconds which is .3 seconds quicker than standard models.\u00a0Customers can choose between a seven-speed manual or Aston SSII automatic to send power to the rear wheels.<\/p>\n

There is a slight problem with the vehicle, Gaydon’s finest are building 150 units of this beauty. \u00a0While it’s 50 more units than the Aston Martin GT12, it’s best to call your financial advisor and get that check book ready as it’s going to be a tough one to get a hold of. By the way, 40 units are exclusively available to customers in the UK, which leaves 110 units for the rest of the world to scrap over! There’s no doubt that a handful will make their way into the UAE.<\/p>\n

If this isn’t the kind of special edition you want, the British manufacturer is said to pump out at least two special edition models, with this being one of them how could you say no to the GT8!<\/p>\n

Prices are set to start at \u00a3170,000 (approx AED\u00a0882,015).<\/p>\n
