Chinese car brand, Omoda<\/a> has arrived in the UAE and has brought its first model, the C5 SUV. After its first appearance at the GIMS Qatar auto show<\/a>, the new Omoda C5 is here to take on other compact SUVs sold in the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update:<\/strong> The Omoda C5 has been launched in the UAE at a starting price of AED 69,900<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omoda Brand<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Omoda is part of the Chery International automotive group. The new brand aims to offer sporty and affordable SUVs packed with tech and performance. Alongside, gasoline-powered vehicles, Omoda will soon be launching their electric SUV, the C5 EV a.k.a E5<\/a> in the UAE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expected Omoda C5 Variants<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Omoda C5<\/a> is expected to be offered in five or more trim levels<\/a> when launched in the UAE. The C5 sold in South Africa is offered in five trim levels. We expect a similar offering in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omoda could offer up to 8 monotone colours and 3 three dual-tone colour options with the C5 in the UAE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Diamond inspires the front grille of the Omoda C5. The studded design adds a premium touch to this sporty compact SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Floating Roof Design Feature<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The blacked-out rear pillar gives a wrap-around effect. The steeply-raked windscreen gives the C5 a coupe-like look and a floating roof effect that adds to the sporty design of the SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a wheelbase of 2,630mm, the Omoda C5 has ample space for five people on the inside. Additionally, the SUV features a boot space of 378 litres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Level 2+ ADAS Active Safety System<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new C5 feature the Level 2+ ADAS<\/a> safety system that helps avoid crashes. This includes forward emergency braking, Blind Spot Warning, and Intelligent Cruise Control; among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
