Back in the day, Citroen\u00a0created some of the most beautiful and even revolutionised\u00a0the car industry with the Citroen\u00a02CV<\/a>. But as the years have gone by, the French manufacturer\u00a0has taken a back seat and followed in the shadows of Peugeot.<\/p>\n

However, recent reports suggest that Citroen is looking into changing all that and are looking to become a household name once again with radical changes across the lineup.<\/p>\n

Current generation Citroen C4 models stack up against the Volkswagen Golf<\/a>, Opel Astra<\/a>, Ford Focus<\/a>\u00a0amongst others, whereas Citroen C5 models face off against the Ford\u00a0Fusion<\/a>. As they shift into the realms of crossover\u00a0territory, we can expect\u00a0them to rival the Range Rover Evoque<\/a>, Lexus RX 350<\/a>\u00a0and many others like it.<\/p>\n

Even though they are entering a densely populated segment, Citroen does have some quirky styling both inside and out when it comes to their concepts and most notably at the moment the Citroen C3. Both of which could prove to be useful.<\/p>\n

The iconic French manufacturer has already confirmed a new crossover which is set to join the ranks in late 2018. It’s unclear what badge this model will carry. However, Aircross appears to be the leading contender. This moniker could be added after C5 and act as a potential successor to the name even though the sedan body style is to be dropped.<\/p>\n

Engine sizes and drivetrains haven’t been revealed.<\/p>\n
