If the new owner uses the vehicle with your tag still attached, any toll charges and possible fines will be deducted from your account. Taxis were once exempt, but that is no longer the case. Today, if you take a taxi through a Salik gate, an extra <strong>AED 4<\/strong> is added to the fare. Electric vehicles also have to pay tolls.
