Faraday Future (FF)<\/a>, an electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer from California, has announced the opening of its first Middle East base in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The new facility is being built in the Al Hamra area of the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facility & Jobs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new site will be about 108,000 square feet. It will include an office, an engineering workshop and an operations centre. With an investment of AED30 million, the project aims to create 200 direct jobs in engineering, logistics, operations, and customer support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company says the move is part of its plan to expand globally and support the region\u2019s shift towards electric vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faraday Future is known for its advanced electric vehicles that combine luxury with cutting-edge technology. Its flagship model, the FF 91, is a premium electric SUV designed for high performance and comfort. The FF 91 can reach 0-100 km\/h in about 2.4 seconds and offers a range of over 600 km on a single charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside the car, passengers can enjoy a large 27-inch rear display, advanced voice control, and seats with massage functions. The car also has smart connectivity features and uses artificial intelligence to make driving safer and more enjoyable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FF also plans to bring more affordable models in the future, making luxury EVs accessible to a wider market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Future Plans & Regional Goals<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The site will be led by Faraday X (FX), FF\u2019s brand focused on mass-market EVs with luxury features. The new hub will serve as a base for the Gulf region and will look to expand into Europe and North Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthias Aydt, Global Co-CEO of FF, said, \u201cRas Al Khaimah offers the right infrastructure and support. We\u2019re excited to start our journey here and create up to 200 skilled jobs.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Association With RAKEZ<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

RAKEZ has been key in helping FF set up in the area. They supported everything from finding the right location to getting the right permissions in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a step forward for the region\u2019s plans to have 50 per cent of new cars as electric or hybrid by 2050. What\u2019s Next<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The facility is still under construction, with plans to start operations in the second half of 2025. In the future, FF plans to set up more research and development in the region and build a local supply chain based in Ras Al Khaimah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
