Mclaren recently announced that they would implement\u00a0autonomous driving<\/a> into its incredible sports car’s somewhere down the line before the decade is up. It seems other sport car manufacturers\u00a0have chimed in with their two cents, well at least one of them has at least, that they too will stick the feature on the extras list.<\/p>\n

Nissan’s legendary GT-R is the car in question, as Nissan’s vice president of product\u00a0planning, Ponz Pandikuthira confirmed the new system is “coming soon”.<\/p>\n

Similar to the system that will be implemented into the British vehicles, autonomous driving won’t interfere\u00a0too much with everyday driving. Instead, it’ll help novice drivers to find the perfect driving line on the track.<\/p>\n

Presumably, with a touch of a button, the system can be turned on and off when navigating the streets and will primarily be used for safety\u00a0purposes not to take away the pure driving pleasure of Godzilla.<\/p>\n

Now that a second sports car has been announced with autonomous capabilities. Now we have to wait and see when\u00a0Ferrari<\/a>, Lamborghini<\/a> and Porsche<\/a> and others to jump on the band wagon.<\/p>\n

Next generation GT-R’s will not only have autonomous features, R-36 or the next generation of Japan’s finest is also said to come with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain. With an already impressive 0-60 time of less than 3 seconds, expect that figure to drop with more electricity pumped through its veins.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
