Every company knows that in this day and age anything and everything can get old and boring very quickly, even in the automotive industry. Perhaps that’s why Hyundai have decided it’s time to bring new life to the Tucson with the 2016 model.

2016 Hyundai TucsonHyundai’s styling studio in Germany is responsible for the new exterior, giving the SUV a larger profile with a raised bonnet, restyled headlights, bulkier front and a reworked rear. With the new larger look, the SUV has grown 65mm in length and 30mm in width. Even the wheelbase has been remeasured by 30mm too. For lovers of travelling via personal transport, boot space has increased to 513 litres (from 465 litres). Folded rear seats are not accounted for in that number. All this expansion leads to more room fro occupants inside, which is always a nice touch!

2016 Hyundai TucsonFour trim levels are available with two engine options: SE, ECO, Sport and the highest being Limited. SE is equipped with a 2.0 litre four-cylinder petrol engine pumping out 204 horsepower and 204 Nm of torque via a six-speed automatic transmission. Other trims will receive a 1.6 litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol power unit with an output of 264 horsepower and 264 Nm of torque coupled to a seven-speed auto gearbox. All four trim levels come standard with power sent to the front wheels with the option to upgrade to all-wheel drive. 17-inch rims are standard with the option to go up to 19-inch.
