A mystifying Lamborghini has surfaced online with the tagline “2018 Lamborghini L595 Zagato Roadster” but what can it be? Is it a new model or is it a one-off?
What’s the deal with this Lamborghini L595 Zagato Roadster?
As of writing, a single image is available of the Zagato Roadster, and it appears to look similar to a unique Lamborghini which was commissioned four years ago for a Lamborghini collector. Known as the Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato, it’s based on the Gallardo LP570-4 and this Zagato Roadster appears to follow the trend as it bears similar body styling and rim design.
With that said, the Roadster variant should pack the same drivetrain. All-wheel drive and a 5.2-litre V10 generating 570 horsepower and 537 Nm of torque. With the roof firmly attached, the four-year-old model is said to launch from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds before hitting a top speed of 325 km/h.
And that is where the trail ends as not much is known about the Lamborghini L595 Zagato Roadster. Lamborghini themselves have yet to confirm or deny the models existent even though it was actually discovered on their very own website.
It all seems quite odd that Lamborghini would build a Spyder version four years after the original. As for the previous model, there is some debate to how many are known to exist let alone built, as some sources say one whereas others claim at least five were built.
More information about the mysterious Lamborghini L595 Zagato Roadster is expected to be revealed later next month at the 2018 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Stay tuned!
