Where to find a used car for sale in the UAE

Like anywhere else in the world, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to buying a used car in the UAE. If you’re in Dubai, you can head over to Ras Al Khor and check out the Auto Market, in Sharjah, Souq Al Haraj is filled with used cars for sale as is Motor World in Abu Dhabi. You’ve also got the option of buying from a private seller.

But before you head to any of those, check online for used cars for sale in the UAE. Right now on Dubicars, you can find dozens upon dozens of used vehicles and you don’t have to walk around in the heat! Win Win!

Now that you’ve found the ideal car, before you head out to the market, there are a few things to note to get the best bang for your buck (or dirham).

Age before beauty

Buying an older car is nine times out of ten cheaper than a new one expect if its a classic.

If you’re buying a car with little to no service history, get the vehicle checked out by an independent mechanic you trust. If you can, ask them to join you when checking out the vehicle, or take it to their garage to get it looked at.

The mechanic will point out any faults and how much the vehicle can cost you in the long run.

Dubicars top tip: Only get the car inspected by a mechanic if you’re interested in the vehicle. If you get each one you test drive inspected it will make the process longer.

Budget/Financing options

First and foremost, don’t buy a vehicle if you don’t have the budget. Yes, it might be tempting even with financing options, but whatever you do, do not go over budget.

Dubicars now offers finance search, the perfect tool to help you buy your next car. We’ve also got a handy guide on how to finance your car in the UAE.

Dubicars top tip: Cars of a certain age can’t be financed via normal channels.

Service packages/Warranty

Buying a car with a service package and/or warranty will give you further insight to the history of the vehicle. This includes regular service checks and routine maintenance

If a service contract or warranty is available, double-check with the seller what is included and how long it is valid for.

Not available on the car your buying, but you want to get one just in case? Service packages and warranty packages can be purchased via a third party.

TLDR: Buying a used car in the UAE

  • Find the right vehicle online.
  • The older the car, the more problems you’ll face.
  • Don’t go over budget.
  • Service packages and warranty can make or break a deal.

Now that you’ve read all of the above, it’s time to buy a used car in UAE. You can find over 1,000’s for sale right now in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
