Zenvo Aurora - Top Things To Know

Zenvo UAE and The Elite Cars recently launched the hybrid hypercar Aurora in the country. While the car is still some time away from hitting the streets, here are the top things to know about the Zenvo Aurora Agil & Tur now available in the UAE.

Two Variants

The Aurora comes in two variants: the Agil and the Tur. The Agil is the track-focused variant, prioritizing agility and downforce with its stripped-down interior and aggressive aero package.

On the other hand, the Tur prioritizes comfort and high-speed cruising with a luxurious interior and a smoother, sleeker exterior.

World’s Most Powerful V12 Production Car

The Zenvo Aurora Agil holds the crown for the most powerful V12 production car ever made. Its 6.6-litre, naturally aspirated V12 pumps out a staggering 1,250hp on its own. Also, the monstrous engine revs to over 10,000 RPM on a V12 configuration! The engine is paired with a 7-speed gearbox.

Hybrid Hypercar Performance

The V12 engine is paired with either 1 or 3 electric motors on the Aurora. The Agil produces a combined power output of 1,450hp and a mind-bending 1,850hp on the Tur.

Electric Range

Both variants combine the raw power of the V12 paired with a combination of a battery and electric motor(s). Zenvo promises a pure-EV mode of 35km on a single charge. Note that these are not plug-in-hybrid cars.

Rear-Wheel-Drive & All-Wheel-Drive

The Agil and the Tur feature rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive as standard, respectively. However, customers can choose either setup as an option on both cars.

Active Pushrod Suspension

Both variants boast an advanced active pushrod suspension system that constantly adjusts to ensure optimal handling and grip, regardless of the terrain. There is a button on the centre console to choose different setups on the Aurora.

Magnesium Wheels

Zenvo offers the Aurora with 20-inch front and 21-inch rear magnesium centre-lock wheels as standard. However, customers can opt for a more rigid and weight-saving carbon-fibre wheel.

Carbon Ceramic Brakes

Zenvo has equipped the Aurora with high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes.

Carbon Fibre Chassis & Body Panels

The entire ZM1 monocoque tub is made out of carbon fibre on the Aurora twins. Most body panels inside and out use carbon fibre to keep the weight in check. However, some of the bodywork at the rear covering the mid-mounted engine is made of lighter forged carbon fibre.

Lightness

Due to their lightweight construction and gram-saving strategy, both Agil and Tur are very light.

Aerodynamics

As the Agil is more track-focused, it has got aggressive bodywork with exposed mechanicals. It is sculpted to provide maximum downforce courtesy of the large active rear wing. Zenvo says it develops 880kg of downforce at 250 km/h.

On the other hand, the Tur being a touring-focussed variant is made to cut through the air to hit the 450km/h top speed. There is no rear wing on the Tur.

Rotating Dials

The instrument cluster is made of three dials on both Agil and Tur. However, the dials on either end rotate to reveal another display that helps with in-car entertainment and additional race-spec data of the car. They are controlled via the buttons on the steering wheel.

Price

Prices for the Zenvo Aurora Agil and Tur start at around AED 11 -12 Million.

Limited Production

Zenvo has limited the production of the Aurora to 100 units in total. Half of the units have already been booked and there might be a chance to see one of them in Dubai. For more details on the production timeline, read this linked article.
