Summary

This 2018 Nissan Altima SV offers a rare opportunity to own a mid-size sedan with exceptionally low mileage, having covered less than 5,000 km per year. The Grey exterior is one of the most practical choices for the GCC, maintaining its look despite the dust and heat while ensuring strong resale appeal. As an SV trim, it provides a significantly more refined cabin experience than the base model, making it a perfect fit for daily commuting between emirates. For buyers in the UAE and beyond, the Altima remains a top-tier choice for its legendary air conditioning performance and ease of maintenance. With its balanced 2.5L engine, you get a car that is equally comfortable in stop-start city traffic and on long desert highway stretches.

This Car vs Other 2018 Altima SVs

With just 29,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits significantly below the typical GCC average for a six-year-old car, which usually sees 120,000 km or more. This low usage means much less wear on the suspension and interior components, offering a like-new driving feel. The Grey finish is a high-demand resale color in the regional market, providing a distinct advantage over brighter or less conventional shades.

SV vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the SV trim adds essential comfort and tech features that the base S trim lacks, including 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and an 8-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support. It also introduces critical safety upgrades highly valued by GCC drivers, such as Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, along with the convenience of Remote Engine Start to cool the cabin before you enter.

Altima vs Segment Rivals

The Altima leads rivals like the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord in seat comfort, featuring Nissan's Zero Gravity seats which are designed to reduce fatigue during long commutes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Its 68-liter fuel tank is generously sized for the segment, allowing for fewer stops on cross-border drives. Additionally, the Altima's Xtronic CVT is specifically tuned for smooth power delivery, often feeling more refined than the setups found in its competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.5L engine is highly efficient for its size, achieving approximately 7.6 L/100km, which translates to excellent savings given the high annual distances driven in the UAE. As a Nissan, it benefits from one of the most robust service networks in the GCC, with authorized centers and spare parts readily available from Sharjah to Muscat. While American spec vehicles may differ in local warranty coverage, the Altima's mechanical simplicity ensures that maintenance costs remain low even at independent specialists.

Performance & Capability

Delivering 182 hp, this sedan provides confident acceleration and a smooth 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 8.6 seconds. The front-wheel-drive platform is optimized for highway stability, making it an ideal cruiser for the UAE’s well-maintained highway networks. The steering is light and precise, allowing for easy maneuverability in tight urban parking environments in Riyadh or Dubai.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the harsh GCC climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone automatic climate control system and dedicated rear passenger vents. The SV trim includes premium cloth upholstery that stays cooler in direct sunlight than leather alternatives, a major benefit during the summer months. Technology is well-integrated, with an 8-inch touchscreen and a quiet cabin environment thanks to effective acoustic insulation.

Safety

Safety is a primary focus for the 2018 Altima, which holds a 5-star NHTSA rating. This SV trim is equipped with Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking as standard. For fast-moving GCC highway traffic, the inclusion of Blind Spot Warning provides an extra layer of security, helping drivers navigate multi-lane roads with confidence.

The bottom line

This listing is a standout choice for a professional or family seeking a low-mileage, fuel-efficient sedan with premium features at a competitive price point. Its combination of high resale color and minimal wear makes it one of the most sensible used car investments currently available in the market.
