Brand new, with only 75kms on the clock RMA is delighted to offer you this Ford Puma crossover, which is based on the Fiesta, so it ought to be fun to drive in a way very few small crossovers are. Taller & longer than the Fiesta & that’s pretty much how it steers and rides.
To stand out among rivals, the Puma needs more than just driving smarts. And it has. Number one, it has some rather clever ideas around its rear end. Number two, they added a lot of tech & there is digital instrument pack with some nice features including blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control, apple car play, massage heated front seats & enhanced parking pilot with a rear-view camera.
Powering the Puma is a 1.0L 3-cylinder engine producing 123BHP making it especially torquey and quick-witted. Spec’d with a seven-speed automatic transmission, steering is very intuitive and clean, with plenty of feel. The Puma contains cornering roll decently and balances the grip at the front and back. You can bowl along through a set of tricky bends, and it won't shirk the challenge.
With Ford’s driving modes they will affect the powertrain and skid control. Also, they change the instrument colours and fonts, but not in a distracting way. There is normal mode, eco (softens the throttle, emphasizes regeneration), sport (quite a bit perkier on the open road & a bit sharper in the city for everyday driving).
On the inside the back seats are roomy like the boot. The layout of the controls is easy to get your head around, with Ford's Sync 3 latest touchscreen neatly handling the infotainment duties while separate physical climate controls doing their stuff.
