Top 5 Car Guinness World Records for 2016

2016 is coming to an end taking with it lots of events recorded in the official book of records. Here’s a list we’ve made of top 5 Car Guinness World Records you might find interesting.

5th: Longest Parade of Prius Hybrid Cars

Recorded last May 2016, Toyota Prius successfully managed to organise a long parade of 332 Prius cars driven by local drivers, those drivers, of course, are the personal owner of each car.

This event took a place in a former American marine base in California state in the USA, managed by Toyota official dealers in the American state to celebrate the new generation of Prius. The parade was two miles long which equate to 3.2 kilometres.

4th: Fastest Car Driving on 2 Side Wheels

This record was standing since 1997, until last August 2016 a well-known stunt driver (Vesa Kivimäki) tried to break this record. Successfully, he managed to drive his diesel BMW 330 to a record speed of 186 km/h on 2 side-wheels breaking by that the older record of 181km/h back in 1997.

3rd: Biggest Collection of Toy Cars Collectable Models

Surprisingly, this record is held by a Lebanese Arab racer (Nabeel Karam). Nabeel said he likes to collect toy cars and he owns a large collection of 37,777 by the date of counting them by Guinness World Records.

2nd: Biggest Flag Attached to a Car

Ford and Chevrolet seem to be fighting to hold this record, because at the end of September 2016 Chevrolet used one of their Silverado HD Pickups to drag a 295.9mflag, but Ford successfully tried to break the record with their Super Duty F-450 carrying a bigger flag measured at 383.1 m2.

1st: Heaviest truck pulled by a man

It’s not the first time we see this kind of car Guinness world records but in November 2016 the Canadian brothers (Jacob and Mathew) successfully dragged 3 fire trucks weighed 86,350kg. All the money collected in this event was contributed to charity.
