Power is now up to 530 BHP and along come a host of modifications not just to increase power but also reliability and aesthetics. It truly is the best TT RS we’ve ever seen or drive.
You will not find a higher spec’d TT RS than this!! Performance mods include Infinit Performance ECU / TCU software, HG Motorsport air intake with Pipercross air filter, Forge Motorsport intercooler, Silly Rabbit Motorsport throttle inlet and intercooler outlet, Unitronic turbo elbow, HG Motorsport catless Bull-X/Ego-X exhaust, AEM water methanol injection with HPerformance stealth tank & The Turbo Unit DSG breather.
Aesthetic mods, HG Motorsport spoiler extension, Euro charged Canada spoiler risers, Maxton Design front splitter, side skirts, rear spats, ABT canards, Custom painted badges, fuel cap, centre caps from Blacklabelz, OEM R8 wheels. Output has increased from 400 BHP to 530 BHP and 670 Nm of TorqueSo, even standing still, the TT RS is already a star. But press the red starter button in the centre of the wheel, and the turbo five cylinder lights up with an enthusiastic rumble. This thing was born to run. And run it does. Feeding its oomph through 7-speed dual-clutch shifters with launch control it truly engages, and the TT RS finally goes like it looks. Which is to say, like a finely polished rocket.
Cool as it is outside, inside the TT RS is even more fetching. This is a coupe cockpit done to near-perfection. Spiced-up with the RS design package. The leather seats are cross-stitched in contrasting stitching, the steering wheel wore a delicious wrap of Alcantara right where you place your hands, the climate controls are brilliantly integrated right into the front dials of the air vents, and Audi's intuitive MMI controller sat within easy reach on the centre console.
And then there was the standard Virtual Cockpit, a configurable, 12.3-inch high-res colour screen behind the wheel that can simultaneously show engine info, speed, a stunning Google moving maps display, and much more. Try it once, and you'll wonder why everybody else doesn't do multi-information displays like this.
