Kaiyi X7 Exterior Design

The exterior design is a blend of bold and modern elements, with a focus on dynamism and sportiness. It certainly aims to make a statement on the road and attract buyers seeking a stylish and eye-catching SUV.

The large, hexagonal grille is the focal point of the front end, featuring a mesh design. The LED headlights are sleek and angular, with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs) that add a touch of sophistication. The large Kaiyi logo that is integrated along with the DRL lights up too, neat!

The strong character lines running along the sides create a sense of dynamism and movement. Handles sit flush with the door and create a clean look. The top-spec Limited trim we tested came equipped with stylish dual-tone 20-inch alloy wheels.

The Kaiyi X7 SUV offers brisk acceleration, but it’s important to be mindful of the potential for torque steer, especially when accelerating hard from a stop. This can manifest as a tight and heavy steering wheel that wants to pull the car straight. Under normal driving conditions, however, the steering is light and the handling is agile and well-controlled, with minimal body roll.

While this is a safety feature designed to mitigate torque steer, it can be initially disconcerting to drivers who aren’t used to it. The suspension is tuned for comfort, effectively absorbing road imperfections and bumps, and delivering a cushioned ride quality. So, while the initial acceleration might take some getting used to, the overall driving experience is positive.

The Kaiyi X7 prioritizes safety with a suite of standard features like airbags, ABS, and traction control. Higher trim features Level 2 ADAS active safety system including lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking; among others.

The X7’s features stack up well against competitors in the mid-size SUV segment, offering a reassuring level of protection for drivers and passengers.

Trims, Pricing Warranty & More

Kaiyi offers the X7 in two trims: Flagship & Limited. Despite being the base-spec, it is decently equipped and misses out on a few convenience features. Additionally, the 2L engine is offered only on the top-spec trim of the SUV.

As for the warranty, the X7 is offered with a 5-year or 150,000KM standard package. Additionally, there is a service warranty of 2 years or 60,000KM. For more details, check Kaiyi UAE’s official website.

Given its impressive array of features, exceptional performance, and price of AED 96,000 for the top-spec flagship variant, the Kaiyi X7 emerges as an outstanding choice for families seeking a modern, spacious, and luxurious seven-seater SUV. Therefore, opting for the X7 as your next SUV is a no-brainer.
