• Strong value retention in the GCC used market

Summary

This 10-year-old Lexus GX460 Premier stands as a rare find in the GCC market, combining legendary Toyota-sourced durability with Lexus refinement. With mileage significantly below the regional average for its age, this vehicle has been driven sparingly across its decade of service. The Premier trim offers the ideal balance of high-end features like ventilated seating and a 360-degree camera without the added complexity of the higher trims' air suspension. White remains the most sought-after resale color in the UAE, ensuring your investment is protected when it is time to upgrade. For the GCC buyer, the primary draw is the overbuilt 4.6L V8 and a service network that covers every corner of the peninsula.

This Car vs Other 2016 GX460s

At just 85,580 km, this GX460 has covered less than half the distance typical for a 10-year-old SUV in the GCC, where 200,000 km is the norm. This low-mileage status represents a significant mechanical advantage, as the naturally aspirated V8 is just entering its prime. The white exterior further strengthens its position, as it is the most heat-reflective and resale-stable color in the regional used market.

PREMIER vs Lower Trims

The Premier trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the base models by adding essential GCC luxuries such as ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera system for easier parking. It also includes the 17-speaker Mark Levinson premium surround-sound system and a cooled center console box to keep drinks chilled during summer drives. Unlike the base versions, you also get the full suite of off-road hardware including Crawl Control as standard.

GX460 vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Land Rover Discovery or BMW X5 lean toward road-biased performance, the GX460 utilizes a rugged body-on-frame construction shared with the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. This gives it superior durability on washboard desert roads and a significantly higher 2,948 kg towing capacity. Its 87-liter fuel tank also provides a longer cruising range for cross-border highway drives compared to many European crossovers.

Running Costs & Resale

The GX460 is famous for having one of the lowest depreciation rates in the UAE luxury SUV segment, typically losing only 8-10% annually. Fuel consumption averages roughly 13.8 L/100km, which is expected for a heavy V8, and it runs reliably on 95-octane petrol. Service intervals are every 10,000 km, and with the most extensive authorized service network in the GCC (Al-Futtaim in the UAE, Abdullah Abdulghani in Qatar), parts are always readily available.

Performance & Capability

The 4.6L V8 produces 292 hp and 438 Nm of torque, providing smooth, linear power ideal for overtaking on the E11 or climbing dunes. It features a true low-range transfer case and Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS), which automatically adjusts the stabilizer bars to improve wheel travel off-road while reducing body roll on the highway. With 205 mm of ground clearance, it is a genuine dual-purpose vehicle that feels at home in both the city and the sand.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat cabin is designed for the desert climate, featuring a powerful three-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents that can cool the interior rapidly after being parked in the sun. The Premier trim's ventilated seats are a necessity for the region, providing active cooling through the leather perforations. Passengers in the second row benefit from sliding and reclining seats, while the third row folds flat to reveal a large, versatile cargo area.

Safety

Safety is managed by 10 standard airbags and an array of active systems tailored for local driving. The Blind Spot Monitor is invaluable for fast-moving UAE highway traffic, while Rear Cross-Traffic Alert helps when reversing in busy mall parking lots. Standard stability and traction control systems are specifically tuned to handle shifts in surface grip between tarmac and gravel, and the 360-degree camera provides a bird's-eye view to avoid obstacles in tight spaces.

The bottom line

This listing is the perfect match for a family or enthusiast seeking the legendary reliability of a Land Cruiser Prado with the superior comfort and audio of a Lexus. Finding a GCC-spec, low-mileage GX460 in white is increasingly rare, making this a high-value opportunity in the current market.
