Summary

This 2018 Audi RS6 is a rare combination of supercar performance and genuine family utility, making it one of the most versatile performance buys in the UAE. With sub-4 second acceleration and the legendary quattro all-wheel-drive system, it handles high-speed highway commuting between emirates with absolute composure. While European specs often offer unique interior combinations, this model maintains the high-tech C7.5 facelift cabin that remains competitive against much newer rivals. Its mileage is consistent with average highway use for a high-performance executive car in the region, reflecting a vehicle that has been driven as intended. For the buyer who needs to balance school runs with a passion for driving, the RS6 stands alone in a segment dominated by less practical sedans.

This Car vs Other 2018 RS6s

At approximately 99,000 km, this RS6 aligns with typical GCC highway usage for a five-year-old executive vehicle, where long-distance travel is standard. As a late-production C7.5 model, it benefits from the final mechanical refinements of the generation before the C8 transition. The blue exterior is a sought-after performance shade that typically holds better interest among enthusiasts compared to standard greyscale tones.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the flagship of the A6 line, the RS6 includes standard equipment that is optional elsewhere, such as the wider bodywork, RS-tuned adaptive air suspension, and the Valcona leather RS sport seats. This specific trim features the 8-speed Tiptronic transmission specifically calibrated for the V8's high torque, along with the MMI Navigation Plus system and four-zone climate control as standard.

RS6 vs Segment Rivals

The RS6 leads its primary rival, the BMW M5, by offering a dedicated station wagon body style that provides significantly more vertical cargo flexibility for family road trips. Compared to the Mercedes-AMG E63, the Audi’s quattro system is often noted for its superior wet-weather and sand-on-tarmac traction, providing more confidence during the UAE's occasional winter rains or dusty highway conditions.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages 13.6L/100km in mixed GCC driving, though long highway cruises at 120-140 km/h can see this drop significantly thanks to cylinder-on-demand technology. As a European spec vehicle, buyers should ensure the cooling system is inspected for UAE summer compatibility, though parts availability remains high through independent specialists across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Resale value for RS6 models remains strong due to a dedicated enthusiast following, typically depreciating at a slower rate than standard luxury sedans.

Performance & Capability

The 560 hp twin-turbo V8 delivers a relentless 700 Nm of torque, enabling effortless overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. The quattro all-wheel-drive system ensures power is put down cleanly even on less-than-perfect surfaces, while the selectable drive modes allow the car to transform from a quiet long-distance cruiser to a sharp performance machine. With an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h, it offers performance that few SUVs in this price bracket can match.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in ergonomics, featuring a flat-bottom RS steering wheel and the intuitive MMI interface. For the GCC climate, the four-zone automatic climate control is essential, ensuring that all five passengers remain comfortable even during peak summer afternoons. The 565-litre boot expands to a massive 1,680 litres with the rear seats folded, providing more practical utility than almost any other performance vehicle in the market.

Safety

This RS6 is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including electronic stability control, high-performance RS braking systems, and multiple airbags. The quattro system acts as a primary safety feature in the GCC, providing enhanced stability during high-speed lane changes and in low-traction environments like sandy highway shoulders or sudden rainstorms.

The bottom line

Perfect for the enthusiast who refuses to trade performance for family practicality, this RS6 offers a high-spec European interior and legendary V8 power at a competitive price point for the UAE market.
