Summary

This 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS represents the pinnacle of the 991.2 generation, offering a visceral driving experience that few modern supercars can match. With only 15,000 km over 8 years, this example has been driven roughly 1,875 km per year—exceptionally low mileage for the GCC market where annual averages often exceed 20,000 km. The Guard's Red exterior is a signature Porsche color that maintains high demand and strong resale liquidity in the region. As the most powerful road-approved 911 of its era, it remains a blue-chip collectible for serious enthusiasts. For a GCC buyer, this is a rare opportunity to own a limited-production flagship that has been kept in prime condition and remains perfectly suited for the UAE's high-speed highway networks.

This Car vs Other 2018 911s

Compared to typical 2018 models in the GCC which often show over 100,000 km, this GT2 RS has been preserved as a low-mileage collector piece. The 15,000 km odometer reading suggests it has primarily served as a weekend car or a central part of a collection, ensuring minimal wear on its specialized components. The red exterior is a high-visibility, high-resale choice that performs well in the local secondary market.

GT2 RS vs Lower Trims

The GT2 RS is a significant leap over the 911 Turbo S, adding 120 hp while shedding weight through extensive use of carbon fiber and magnesium. It replaces the all-wheel-drive system with a pure rear-wheel-drive setup and a race-tuned chassis for maximum track performance. Key GCC-focused upgrades often include the front-axle lift system to navigate speed bumps and specialized cooling ducts designed to manage thermal loads during spirited drives in heat.

911 vs Segment Rivals

The GT2 RS holds its own against rivals like the McLaren 720S and Ferrari 488 Pista, leading with a Nürburgring pedigree that underscores its engineering depth. While rivals often prioritize digital interfaces, the Porsche offers a more robust mechanical feel and a cooling system specifically engineered for sustained high performance. Its PDK transmission is widely regarded as the fastest-shifting and most durable dual-clutch unit in the segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages approximately 11.8 L/100km, though this can vary significantly during high-performance use. Service intervals are recommended every 12 months or 15,000 km, with specialized maintenance required for the carbon-ceramic brakes and turbocharging system. Authorized Porsche centers are widely available across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, supporting strong value retention. This model has historically shown low depreciation due to its status as a limited-run motorsport icon.

Performance & Capability

The 700 hp output translates to a blistering 2.8-second sprint to 100 km/h, making it one of the fastest accelerating internal combustion cars in the region. Its 340 km/h top speed is supported by aggressive aerodynamics that produce up to 416 kg of downforce, ensuring stability on long highway stretches. The rear-wheel steering and active suspension management provide clinical precision, whether on a coastal road or at the Dubai Autodrome.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cabin is a focused environment featuring Alcantara upholstery and carbon-fiber bucket seats that provide exceptional support. Despite its track-bred nature, the GCC-spec climate control is exceptionally powerful, ensuring cabin comfort even during peak summer months. Sound insulation is reduced to save weight, allowing the roar of the flat-six to dominate the acoustic experience, though premium audio is standard for highway cruising.

Safety

Standard safety features include Porsche Stability Management (PSM) with specialized Sport modes, high-performance Carbon Ceramic Brakes (PCCB), and a comprehensive airbag system. For the GCC, the tire pressure monitoring system and adaptive lighting are crucial for high-speed night driving on unlit desert highways. The car’s rigid lightweight construction offers structural safety that meets the highest global standards.

The bottom line

For the collector or the ultimate driving enthusiast, this low-mileage GT2 RS offers a rare chance to secure a peak-era Porsche in a high-demand GCC specification and color.
