Summary

This 2020 Lexus NX300 Premier is a standout choice for those seeking Japanese reliability blended with modern luxury. With 67,400 km on the clock, its mileage is significantly lower than the GCC average for its age, suggesting light use and careful ownership. The Black exterior is a perennially strong resale color in the region, ensuring the car holds its value well over time. Compared to European rivals, the NX offers a much more relaxing ownership experience thanks to its simplified maintenance and legendary build quality. It is a perfect daily companion for the GCC professional who values a quiet cabin and effortless highway cruising.

This Car vs Other 2020 NX300s

With just 67,400 km, this NX300 has averaged roughly 16,850 km per year, which is well below the typical 20,000–25,000 km GCC average. This lower usage means less wear on the mechanical components and the interior, giving it a distinct advantage in the used market. The Black finish is one of the most desirable colors in the UAE, providing better liquidity and value retention compared to niche shades.

PREMIER vs Lower Trims

The Premier trim significantly upgrades the tech and comfort features over the base model, most notably adding the larger 10.3-inch high-resolution display rather than the standard 8-inch unit. It also incorporates essential GCC luxury features like ventilated front seats to combat summer heat and the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0. Additionally, this trim often includes a power tailgate with a kick sensor and an upgraded 10-speaker premium audio system for a more refined experience.

NX300 vs Segment Rivals

The Lexus NX300 is frequently cross-shopped with the BMW X3 and Audi Q5, where it leads in long-term reliability and lower depreciation rates. While rivals might offer firmer handling, the Lexus excels in cabin insulation and ride comfort, making it better suited for the long highway stretches between Emirates. Its turbocharged 4-cylinder engine provides a balanced mix of punchy overtaking power and better fuel efficiency than larger-displacement alternatives.

Running Costs & Resale

The NX300 delivers a real-world combined fuel consumption of approximately 8.8L/100km, which is efficient for a luxury SUV in stop-start city traffic. Maintenance is straightforward with a vast network of authorized Lexus service centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC, ensuring parts are always available. Historically, the NX retains nearly 20% more of its value over a five-year period compared to its German counterparts, making it one of the smartest financial decisions in the segment.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 2.0L twin-scroll turbocharged engine, the NX300 produces 235 hp and 350 Nm of torque, enabling a smooth 0–100 km/h sprint in 7.1 seconds. This power is managed by a 6-speed automatic transmission that is tuned for smoothness rather than aggressive shifts, providing a relaxed feel during high-speed highway commutes. While designed for the road, its ground clearance and proactive drive modes make it capable for weekend trips to light gravel paths or sandy villa access roads.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the intense GCC heat, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system and ventilated seats that are essential for local summers. The 5-seat layout offers generous legroom, and the cargo area provides roughly 500 liters of space, which is ample for family grocery runs or airport trips. High-quality NuLuxe trim and acoustic glass ensure the interior remains quiet and premium even at highway speeds.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the 2020 NX300, which comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 including Pre-Collision Pedestrian Detection and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. These systems are invaluable for the fast-moving traffic on the E11 or long desert hauls. It also features eight airbags and blind-spot monitoring, providing comprehensive protection that often costs extra on competing luxury models.

The bottom line

This low-mileage, GCC-spec Lexus NX300 Premier is the ideal opportunity for a buyer who wants a high-spec luxury SUV without the high depreciation and maintenance headaches of European rivals.
