Summary

This 2021 Infiniti QX50 LUXE is a standout choice for GCC buyers, combining the region's preferred white exterior for heat management and high resale value with a tech-heavy cabin. As a GCC-spec model, it is factory-equipped with the heavy-duty cooling systems required to handle extreme summer temperatures across the Emirates. The innovative Variable Compression Turbo engine provides a unique balance, offering the punchy overtaking power of a V6 on the E11 highway while maintaining the fuel efficiency of a compact four-cylinder in city traffic. With mileage that aligns perfectly with typical GCC usage patterns, this SUV represents a reliable and sophisticated entry into the luxury crossover segment.

This Car vs Other 2021 QX50s

With 95,219 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits at a very honest average for a three-year-old car in the GCC, where long-distance commutes are the norm. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the local market, ensuring it stays cooler in the sun and holds its value better than darker alternatives. Choosing a GCC-spec model over a North American import is vital here, as it ensures full compatibility with local service centers and regional fuel grades.

LUXE vs Lower Trims

The LUXE trim is a significant step up from the base PURE model, adding features that are essential for the GCC climate and luxury expectations. It introduces the panoramic moonroof, which floods the cabin with light while featuring a power sunshade for the summer months, alongside ProPILOT Assist for easier long-distance driving. You also gain remote engine start, allowing you to cool the cabin before stepping inside—a genuine necessity during the UAE summer.

QX50 vs Segment Rivals

The QX50 competes directly with the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC but offers a more versatile interior with sliding and reclining rear seats that prioritize passenger comfort. Its boot space is among the largest in its class, providing 895 litres of volume that easily accommodates family gear for weekend trips to Hatta or Jebel Jais. While rivals often require expensive options for basic tech, this Infiniti includes high-end safety and comfort features as standard.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy is efficient for a luxury SUV, averaging approximately 7.8 L/100km on combined routes, making it an economical choice for those commuting between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Infiniti maintains a strong authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC through partners like Al Masaood and Arabian Automobiles. The QX50 typically sees a stable depreciation rate of 12-15% annually, performing well against European rivals in the pre-owned market.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this SUV is the world's first production variable compression turbo engine, delivering a robust 268 hp and 380 Nm of torque. It achieves the 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.9 seconds, providing effortless merging capability on fast-moving UAE motorways. The front-wheel-drive layout is optimized for road efficiency and smooth city handling, ensuring a composed ride whether you are navigating downtown traffic or cruising at highway speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed with premium materials and features a dual-screen infotainment system that keeps navigation and media separate for better usability. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated climate vents and ample legroom thanks to the sliding seat bench, making it ideal for family road trips. The LUXE trim also includes heated front seats and high-quality acoustic glass that helps isolate the interior from road noise and desert heat.

Safety

Safety is a priority with the ProPILOT Assist suite, which includes intelligent cruise control and steering assist to reduce driver fatigue on long desert stretches. Standard systems like Predictive Forward Collision Warning can see two cars ahead, while Blind Spot Intervention and Rear Automatic Braking provide 360-degree protection in busy urban environments. These active systems work together to ensure a five-star safety experience for all occupants.

The bottom line

This QX50 LUXE is the perfect match for a professional or family looking for a premium, GCC-ready SUV that balances modern engine technology with high resale potential. It offers all the essential regional features—like remote start and a panoramic roof—in a package that is mechanically sound and ready for immediate use.
