• 320 litres boot space (seats up)
• Four airbags standard

Summary

This 3-year-old Chevrolet Groove LT represents an exceptional entry into the crossover market, especially considering its white exterior—the most sought-after color for resale in the GCC. With only 33,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the 60,000–75,000 km typically expected for a car of this age in the UAE. As a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for the region’s high-temperature demands and is supported by one of the widest authorized service networks in the Middle East. For buyers prioritizing low running costs without sacrificing a modern SUV silhouette, this low-mileage LT trim is a practical and high-value choice.

This Car vs Other 2023 Grooves

At 33,000 km, this Groove is well below the average GCC annual usage of 20,000–25,000 km, making it a standout option for those seeking a near-fresh driving experience. The white exterior is a strategic advantage in the local used market, as it deflects heat efficiently and consistently commands the highest demand at resale. Compared to most 2023 examples currently listed, this vehicle offers a significantly higher 'remaining life' margin before major service milestones.

LT vs Lower Trims

The LT trim serves as the premium entry point, providing essential upgrades over base models including 16-inch alloy wheels and integrated LED daytime running lights that are crucial for visibility on fast-moving UAE highways. Inside, the LT adds a 6-speaker audio system and an 8-inch touchscreen with full Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. These connectivity features are highly valued by GCC drivers for navigating city traffic and managing long-distance commutes between Emirates.

Groove vs Segment Rivals

The Groove competes directly with the MG ZS and Toyota Raize, standing out with its balance of Chevrolet’s regional brand heritage and competitive cabin space. While rivals focus on performance, the Groove leads in everyday usability with a fuel efficiency of 15.2 km/L, offering a longer range for highway travel across the GCC. Its compact dimensions also make it significantly easier to park in congested urban areas like Dubai Marina compared to larger crossovers.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are among the lowest in the segment, with a real-world combined fuel consumption of approximately 6.6 L/100km. Scheduled service intervals occur every 10,000 km, supported by a massive authorized service network including Al Ghandi and Al Jomaih across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. As a GCC-spec vehicle with a popular color and low mileage, it is expected to maintain a steady value retention rate, typically depreciating less sharply than non-regional imports at the 3-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine is designed for efficiency and smooth urban transit rather than off-road use. Delivering 110 hp, it provides adequate power for city driving and steady highway cruising at the 120 km/h UAE speed limit. The Front Wheel Drive layout and tight turning circle are specifically suited for navigating multi-lane interchanges and tight mall parking structures, making it a focused city crossover rather than a desert explorer.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Groove LT offers a surprisingly spacious 5-seat layout with fabric upholstery that stays cooler in the extreme GCC summer heat than leather alternatives. The air conditioning system is engineered for the region's 45°C+ temperatures, ensuring rapid cabin cooling even after the car has been parked in the sun. Practicality is a core strength, featuring a 60:40 split-folding rear seat and a 320-litre boot that easily accommodates weekly grocery runs or two large suitcases.

Safety

Safety is managed by a suite of active and passive systems including four airbags, electronic stability control, and traction control, which are essential for maintaining grip on sandy or rain-slicked road surfaces. The inclusion of a rearview camera and rear parking sensors as standard on the LT trim provides critical assistance in tight urban environments. Furthermore, a tire pressure monitoring system comes standard, helping drivers maintain safety during long desert highway drives.

The bottom line

This Chevrolet Groove LT is the ideal choice for a budget-conscious professional or a small family looking for a reliable, low-mileage crossover with the strongest possible resale credentials in the UAE.
