Summary

This 2023 Genesis G80 Prestige offers a compelling alternative to established German executive sedans, combining a potent twin-turbo V6 with a level of craftsmanship that rivals the best in segment. With 60,000 km, this example has been maintained within the expected range for a high-performance GCC cruiser, ensuring the mechanical components remain in their prime for the next owner. The White exterior is a strategic choice for the region, providing excellent heat reflection during summer months and securing strong resale demand across the UAE and wider GCC. As a Prestige trim, it delivers a suite of high-end features—including ventilated seating and advanced driver aids—that typically command a steep premium on European rivals. For the GCC buyer, this G80 represents the ideal balance of executive presence, long-distance highway comfort, and verified regional performance.

This Car vs Other 2023 G80s

At 60,000 km, this G80 sits right at the average for a vehicle of this age in the highway-heavy GCC market, indicating regular use consistent with executive commuting. The White exterior is a significant advantage for local resale, consistently ranking as one of the most sought-after colors in the UAE for its durability and heat-deflection properties. Being a GCC-spec 3.5T model ensures full compatibility with regional service centers and provides the peace of mind of a cooling system designed for the Middle Eastern climate.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The Prestige trim elevates the G80 experience over the 2.5T models by adding the substantial 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine and a 21-speaker Lexicon premium audio system as standard. Interior refinements are significant, featuring genuine leather seating surfaces, a 360-degree camera system for easier urban maneuvering, and a 3-zone automatic climate control system that ensures rear passengers stay as cool as those in the front. It also includes the Ergo Motion driver’s seat, which uses active air cells to reduce fatigue during long cross-country drives.

G80 vs Segment Rivals

The G80 competes directly with the BMW 5 Series and Lexus ES, leading both in terms of standard equipment and interior material quality for the price. While the BMW focuses on sportier handling, the G80 offers a more refined and quieter highway ride with standard features like power-closing doors that are often optional on rivals. Compared to the Lexus ES, the G80's rear-wheel-drive architecture and twin-turbo V6 provide a more engaging and powerful driving experience, particularly when overtaking on fast-moving UAE motorways.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L twin-turbo V6 delivers an observed combined fuel consumption of approximately 11.5 L/100km, which is efficient for a 375 hp executive sedan on long highway stretches. Service intervals for Genesis in the GCC are typically every 10,000 km, supported by a growing and dedicated authorized service network that maintains the vehicle’s long-term value. While European luxury brands often see steeper initial drops, the G80 has demonstrated competitive value retention in the UAE, especially in high-demand trims like the Prestige.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this G80 is the 375 hp twin-turbo V6, which enables a verified 0–100 km/h sprint in just 5.2 seconds, providing effortless acceleration for the E11 and other major regional highways. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, perfectly complementing the Rear Wheel Drive setup to deliver a classic executive sedan feel. An electronically controlled suspension with road preview scans the tarmac ahead, adjusting damping in real-time to flatten speed bumps and road imperfections common in city driving.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a standout feature, utilizing high-quality materials and acoustic glass to isolate passengers from the extreme heat and road noise of the GCC summer. Ventilated front seats come standard on this trim, a vital feature for year-round comfort, while the 3-zone climate control provides dedicated cooling for the rear passengers. The infotainment is centered around a 14.5-inch high-definition screen, paired with the 1,050-watt Lexicon surround sound system for a concert-like audio experience during long drives.

Safety

Standard safety tech on the Prestige trim includes a comprehensive ADAS suite with Forward Collision-Avoidance, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance, which is particularly useful in multi-lane highway traffic. The 360-degree camera and front/rear parking sensors make parking this large sedan simple, while Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go reduces driver stress during peak-hour traffic between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The vehicle also features 10 airbags and a robust structure that has earned top safety accolades globally.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec G80 Prestige is the perfect opportunity for an executive buyer looking for a powerful, high-spec sedan that stands out from the German mainstream while offering superior regional comfort.
