Summary

This 2023 Infiniti QX55 SENSORY is a compelling proposition for those seeking a premium coupe-SUV that balances bold aesthetics with a sophisticated driving experience. Given its relatively low mileage for its age within the GCC context, this vehicle represents a nearly new ownership experience without the initial depreciation hit of a showroom purchase. The SENSORY trim is the most desirable configuration for local buyers, offering the full suite of climate-controlled luxury and advanced technology that makes a significant difference during the intense summer months. With its distinctive Red exterior, it stands out as a high-style alternative to more conventional German rivals. As a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for the regional climate and maintains better long-term value than imported equivalents.

This Car vs Other 2023 QX55s

At just under 35,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 25,000 km per year average seen in the GCC. This lower usage translates to less wear on the engine and suspension components, making it a standout choice in the used market. The Red exterior is a vibrant, high-character choice that maintains strong appeal in the UAE's secondary market for those looking for something beyond the standard monochromatic palette.

SENSORY vs Lower Trims

The SENSORY trim represents the top tier of the QX55 range, adding significant luxury features over the Luxe and Essential models. Key upgrades include a Head-Up Display, semi-aniline leather-appointed seating, and a three-zone automatic climate control system that is vital for keeping all passengers comfortable in the summer heat. You also benefit from a premium 16-speaker Bose audio system and heated rear seats, features rarely found in the lower-grade versions.

QX55 vs Segment Rivals

The QX55 competes directly with the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, leading with a more daring exterior design and standard All-Wheel Drive across all GCC variants. While German rivals often require expensive optional packages to match this spec, the SENSORY trim includes an advanced 360-degree monitor and ProPILOT Assist as standard. Its 761-litre cargo capacity with the rear seats up is also notably practical for a coupe-styled SUV in this class.

Running Costs & Resale

Infiniti's 2.0L VC-Turbo engine delivers a combined fuel consumption of approximately 8.7 L/100km, which is highly efficient for an AWD crossover in GCC traffic. Maintenance is straightforward with a robust authorized service network covering the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider region. As a Japanese luxury brand, Infiniti tends to retain value better than many European counterparts, typically depreciating at a stable 10-12% annually after the initial three-year period.

Performance & Capability

The QX55 is powered by the innovative Variable Compression Turbo (VC-Turbo) engine, which produces 268 hp and allows for a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 6.5 seconds. This powertrain is specifically designed to adjust its compression ratio on the fly, providing high-performance torque for highway overtaking and maximum efficiency during city cruising. The Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system provides excellent stability on sand-swept desert roads and during occasional heavy rain events in the UAE.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a showcase of Japanese craftsmanship, featuring premium semi-aniline leather and a dual-screen InTouch infotainment setup. GCC buyers will particularly appreciate the ventilated front seats and the advanced climate control system that includes a Plasmacluster air purifier to keep the cabin fresh. With its coupe-like roofline, it still manages to offer 38.7 inches of rear legroom, ensuring a comfortable experience for adult passengers on long drives between emirates.

Safety

The SENSORY trim comes standard with the full ProPILOT Assist suite, which is exceptionally useful for the long, straight highway stretches between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure prevention, and blind-spot intervention to manage fast-moving traffic. The vehicle also features a 360-degree camera with Moving Object Detection, providing peace of mind when navigating tight parking spots in busy urban centers.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the styling of a luxury coupe with the practicality of an SUV, this low-mileage SENSORY trim is the best-equipped way to own the QX55 in the GCC today.
