Summary

This 2023 RAM 1500 TRX Luxury is a rare find in the GCC market, offering a staggering 1000 horsepower that pushes it far beyond the performance of a standard pickup. With only 8000 km on the odometer, this truck is essentially in showroom condition and presents a significant advantage over the higher-mileage examples usually found in the region. The black exterior is the most sought-after color for the TRX in the Middle East, ensuring it retains its value and street presence better than any other shade. While this is a European spec model, its immense power and specialized Bilstein suspension make it perfectly suited for both the fast-paced highways of the UAE and the soft sands of the desert. Buyers looking for the absolute peak of American performance will find this to be the most capable and well-equipped truck currently available. The single most important consideration for a GCC buyer here is the sheer exclusivity of a 1000hp build, which offers a level of performance that even most supercars cannot match.

This Car vs Other 2023 1500s

When compared to other 2023 models in the GCC, this truck stands out immediately due to its exceptionally low mileage. While the average vehicle in the region covers 20,000 to 25,000 km annually, this example has barely covered 8000 km, meaning it has missed the heavy wear and tear associated with long-distance commuting between cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The black-on-black aesthetic is a high-demand configuration in the local market, making it a much faster-selling asset than lighter colored variants. Even as a European spec, the mechanical condition is pristine, benefiting from a climate-controlled life and minimal exposure to the elements. For a buyer who wants a current-year model that feels brand new, this listing offers a distinct mileage advantage that is hard to replicate in the used market.

TRX LUXURY vs Lower Trims

Moving up to the TRX Luxury package transforms the 1500 from a capable workhorse into a high-tech sanctuary. Unlike the standard TRX or the Rebel, the Luxury trim adds essential features for the GCC climate, most notably the ventilated front and rear seats which are a necessity during the intense summer months. The cabin is upgraded with premium leather-trimmed bucket seats and a carbon-fiber interior accents package that gives it an upscale feel absent in lower trims. You also receive a sophisticated 360-degree surround-view camera system, which is invaluable for parking such a large vehicle in tight urban spaces in Dubai or Riyadh. The digital rearview mirror and head-up display ensure the driver stays focused on the road during high-speed highway cruising. Finally, the inclusion of a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and a power tailgate adds a level of convenience and luxury that sets this trim apart as the definitive choice for enthusiasts.

1500 vs Segment Rivals

The RAM 1500 TRX occupies a space that few others can reach, but its primary competitors in the GCC include the Ford F-150 Raptor R and the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2. While the Raptor R is a formidable desert runner, this TRX outperforms it in raw horsepower, especially with this specific 1000hp tune. For the long-distance driver, the RAM offers a more sophisticated multi-link rear coil suspension that provides a smoother ride on paved highways compared to more traditional setups found in other trucks. The interior quality is also widely considered the best in the segment, featuring a massive 12-inch vertical touchscreen that rivals the technology found in luxury sedans. Furthermore, the TRX provides a wider track and more aggressive stance, which offers superior stability during high-speed desert crossings and a more commanding presence on the road than any standard 1500 or rival pickup.

Running Costs & Resale

Owning a 1000hp super-truck involves specific running cost considerations tailored to the GCC environment. Real-world fuel consumption for the 6.2L Supercharged V8 is significant, particularly in the stop-start traffic of major cities like Dubai; however, on long highway stretches, the engine can be surprisingly efficient for its size. This truck requires high-octane Super 98 fuel to maintain its performance levels and engine health. Service intervals at authorized centers are typically every 10,000 km, and while this is a European spec car, the RAM service network is well-established across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts for the TRX are readily available. In terms of resale, the TRX is one of the slowest-depreciating trucks in the region due to its cult status and high demand. You can expect it to hold its value much better than a standard V8 pickup, often retaining a high percentage of its original price even after three years of ownership.

Performance & Capability

The standout figure for this vehicle is undoubtedly the 1000 horsepower generated by its tuned 6.2L HEMI V8 engine. This allows the truck to achieve a 0-100 km/h time in well under 4 seconds, making it one of the fastest accelerating production-based vehicles on the planet. For off-road enthusiasts, the TRX comes equipped with Bilstein Black Hawk e2 active damping shocks, which are designed to soak up massive impacts during high-speed desert runs while maintaining composure on the road. The truck features a genuine full-time four-wheel-drive system with multiple terrain modes, including a dedicated 'Baja' mode for sand driving. With a ground clearance of nearly 300 mm and specialized 35-inch all-terrain tires, it can navigate obstacles that would stop most other SUVs in their tracks. It also maintains a robust towing capacity of over 3,600 kg, making it as practical for hauling trailers as it is for winning drag races.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the TRX Luxury offers a five-seat layout that rivals the world’s most expensive luxury SUVs for comfort. The seats are wide, supportive, and wrapped in premium materials, featuring both heating and cooling functions to handle the GCC's temperature swings. The air conditioning system in the RAM is famously powerful, capable of chilling the massive cabin in minutes even after it has been sitting in the sun. For entertainment, the truck is equipped with a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system that provides concert-quality sound, easily overcoming any road or engine noise. The cabin is also remarkably quiet thanks to acoustic glass and heavy insulation, making long-distance road trips between emirates a relaxing experience. Passengers in the rear benefit from class-leading legroom, ensuring that even three adults can sit comfortably for hours.

Safety

Safety in this TRX is comprehensive, featuring a suite of advanced driver assistance systems that are crucial for high-speed GCC highways. Standard equipment includes Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path and Trailer Detection, which is essential given the vehicle's size. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go makes heavy traffic much less taxing, while Lane Keep Assist and Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking provide an extra layer of protection. For off-roading, the heavy-duty reinforced steel frame provides exceptional structural integrity. The truck also features a high-performance braking system from Brembo to ensure that its 1000 horsepower can be brought to a halt quickly and safely. Unlike some competitors where these features are optional extras, this Luxury trim includes the full safety suite as standard.

The bottom line

This 1000hp RAM TRX is the perfect choice for the performance enthusiast who wants the most powerful truck in the GCC without the wait times of a factory order. With its ultra-low mileage and premium Luxury trim, it represents a rare opportunity to own a world-class super-truck that is ready for both the boulevard and the dunes.
