Summary

This 2023 Toyota Yaris E is a standout choice for the GCC market, offering exceptionally low mileage for its age in a region where annual travel often exceeds 20,000 km. Finished in white, the most heat-efficient and sought-after color for resale in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, this sedan is purpose-built for longevity. As a GCC-spec model, it features a cooling system and air conditioning tuned for extreme summer temperatures that rivals often struggle with. It represents the perfect entry point for commuters seeking Toyota’s legendary reliability paired with class-leading fuel efficiency.

This Car vs Other 2023 Toyota Yariss

With just 13,399 km on the odometer, this Yaris has covered less than half the distance of an average one-year-old vehicle in the GCC used market. Its white exterior provides a significant resale advantage, as it remains the gold standard for value retention across the Emirates. Buyers will find this to be a mechanically fresh example that has avoided the high-mileage wear typical of the segment.

E vs Lower Trims

In the UAE market, the E trim serves as the essential standard, offering the most balanced value proposition. It includes must-have regional features like rear A/C vents and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which are often absent in base-fleet specifications. While the G trim adds luxury touches, the E provides the core mechanical durability and modern connectivity that GCC buyers prioritize.

Yaris vs Segment Rivals

The Yaris leads rivals like the Nissan Sunny and Honda City in terms of sheer fuel efficiency, achieving 20.5 km/L on the combined cycle. Its 475-litre boot is one of the most practical in the sub-compact class, easily accommodating large grocery hauls or airport luggage. Toyota's air conditioning system is widely regarded as the most capable for handling the 45°C+ heat common in Riyadh and Dubai.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are among the lowest in the region, with fuel consumption averaging 4.8 to 5.3 L/100km on open highways. Toyota maintains the highest value retention in the UAE market, typically holding 87% of its value after the first year and outperforming European rivals by a significant margin. Authorized service centers are readily available in every major city across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are always accessible and affordable.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L Dual VVT-i engine delivers 105 hp, providing adequate power for city merging and stable highway cruising at 120 km/h. The CVT is tuned for smoothness, simulating a seven-speed sequential shift to keep the engine in its most efficient power band. With a tight 4.8-meter turning radius, it is exceptionally easy to park in crowded urban areas like Dubai Marina or Downtown Riyadh.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is surprisingly roomy for a sub-compact, benefiting from a 70 mm wheelbase increase in this generation to improve rear legroom. Standard rear A/C vents ensure all five passengers stay comfortable during the peak of the GCC summer. The interior features multiple smart storage compartments, including bottle holders in the doors designed for large hydration flasks common in the region.

Safety

Safety is anchored by a suite of active systems including Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TCS), and Brake Assist. It also features a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and ISOFIX child seat anchors as standard. These systems provide essential stability during fast-moving highway traffic and on sand-dusted road surfaces.

The bottom line

For the budget-conscious professional or small family, this low-mileage Yaris offers the ultimate peace of mind through its high resale potential and unbeatable fuel economy.
