Summary

This 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce offers a distinct alternative to the German executive class, pairing Italian design with a focused rear-wheel-drive chassis. With just over 11,000 km, this mileage is exceptionally low for the UAE market, where the average for a first-year vehicle typically hits 20,000 km. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the GCC, ensuring strong resale liquidity for future owners. In a segment often defined by clinical efficiency, the Giulia stands out for its near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution and class-exclusive carbon fiber driveshaft. For the GCC buyer, this represents a near-new performance sedan that prioritizes driver engagement while maintaining modern cabin amenities.

This Car vs Other 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulias

With only 11,166 km on the odometer, this Giulia is significantly below the average annual mileage for premium sedans in the GCC. The black-on-black color configuration is one of the most resilient for resale value in the local market, offering a sophisticated look that handles the bright Gulf sun well. Choosing this 2024 model provides the benefit of the latest digital cockpit updates while avoiding the steep initial depreciation of a brand-new showroom purchase.

VELOCE vs Lower Trims

The Veloce trim is the performance sweet spot, adding a mechanical limited-slip rear differential that you won't find on the base Sprint. It upgrades the aesthetic with 19-inch five-hole aluminum wheels and a more aggressive rear sport diffuser. Inside, it replaces standard seats with 14-way power-operated sport seats featuring enhanced side bolstering and manual thigh support, essential for high-speed stability on the UAE's winding bypass roads.

Giulia vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW 330i and Audi A4, the Giulia offers a more visceral driving experience thanks to its standard carbon fiber driveshaft, a feature usually reserved for supercars. While German rivals lean heavily on touchscreens, the Alfa retains tactile controls for its DNA drive mode selector, which is preferred by driving enthusiasts. It also delivers a standard 280 hp, outperforming the entry-level outputs of its primary European competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 2.0L turbo averages approximately 8.9 L/100km in city traffic and drops to roughly 6.1 L/100km on long highway stretches like the E11. While European luxury sedans typically see 15-18% annual depreciation in the GCC, the Giulia’s scarcity and enthusiast following help stabilize its value, particularly for low-mileage examples. Authorized service centers are well-established in the UAE, with intervals typically set at 10,000 km or 12 months.

Performance & Capability

The Giulia delivers a top speed of 240 km/h and a sharp 0-100 km/h time of 5.7 seconds, making it one of the quickest 4-cylinder sedans available. Its rear-wheel-drive architecture is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission that provides lightning-fast shifts in Dynamic mode. The standard Brembo braking system ensures consistent stopping power, which is vital for high-temperature GCC highway driving.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior features a driver-centric 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8.8-inch multitouch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. For the GCC climate, the dual-zone automatic climate control system is robust, complemented by rear air vents to keep all five passengers comfortable during summer months. Premium leather upholstery and aluminum paddle shifters reinforce the Italian luxury feel.

Safety

This Giulia comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control with full-stop capability, which is a major comfort feature for the long commute between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Additional safety features include Blind Spot Monitoring, Forward Collision Warning with autonomous emergency braking, and Lane Departure Warning. The vehicle is built on a high-strength steel and aluminum frame, earning top marks in global safety testing.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for an enthusiast buyer who wants a like-new Italian sport sedan with the most desirable trim and color for the GCC market.
